Call of Duty Blackops would go on to become a billion dollar success story for Activision and was a triumph for their in-house studio, Treyarch, upon its release. In order to capitalize on this iteration of the venerable game – Activision created a web and mobile portal that would allow users to interact with other players, edit their loadouts, share wins and status awards via social media, create groups, upload videos, provide access to DLCs and heat maps – and connect with their millions of fans in a whole new way.

With engaging visuals and deep UX centered design, Call of Duty Elite was able to capture the excitement and visceral energy of the game.
